Wendy: "I love life at the farm, life following the natural rhythm of the day. This includes natural products. For us, this means including as few additions as possible." These local products can be found in the store next to the dairy company. "We tend to our own cows for milk and meat. In addition, we offer products from suppliers we know. This is how we know how things are made and how we can be sure it matches our ideas about good, beautiful and pure. Handmade products which allow you to taste the difference."

Fine selection

Country store Buitengewoon is part of Cooperation Country Store, an organization of and for farmers, and focused on products without unnecessary additives. "We offer a number of products from this cooperation. Thanks to their nationwide reach, our assortment is a little wider. These products are combined with our own selection of suppliers in the area. For example, sausage from Salland's Pride, local beer from Ommen, farmer's ice cream from Rosahoeve Raalte, bread from Mariënheem and eggs from our neighbors."

With care

The associated dairy company doubles as a care farm during the week. This place for daycare profits greatly from Wendy's background in social services. The diligent methods in the store can also be seen here. "The 'care farmers' are given the necessary room to occupy themselves with things they are able to do. We are currently working with four people. By intentionally keeping things small, every one of these people has plenty of room to develop their own qualities."

Buitengewoon offers enough to see and do. Wendy enthusiastically continues: "The store, outside play area for children and the opportunity of attending a tour of the farm. Who knows what we will include in the future? We have plenty of ideas!"
